I am trained as a scholar in South Asian studies and have been teaching Hinduism and Buddhism courses for many years. I wrote my first book about the interface between the oral and written traditions of Buddhist texts in Thailand, and have now become interested in how the transition to digital media is affecting the way the Dharma is being received and integrated into the religious lives of people around the world. I have also recently learned SQL database language and found it to be a much more rewarding and interesting experience than I had imagined, with great power for processing information in a variety of ways.
