I'm a PhD student at the UChicago Div School. In the last few years I've been exploring what it means to be an academic in the "digital age." Whether it's searching Twitter for tech resources or having my students use Today's Meet to share notes and ideas during class, I want to learn about digital technology and use it to improve my teaching and research. The current iteration of my dissertation topic involves an ethnographic study of the impact of religion on access to healthcare among African immigrant communities in the United States.

I've been to a few EdCamps (kind of like THATCamp for mostly primary and secondary school educators) and have been looking for that sort of experience amongst my own kind. Thus, THATCamp is pretty much my dream land.
